
Yogyakarta, March 20, 2025 – Ir. Andri Prima Nugroho, S.T.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., a lecturer and researcher at the Smart Agriculture Research Center (SARC) of the Department of Agricultural Engineering and Biosystems (TPB) at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP) of Gadjah Mada University (UGM), served as a speaker at a *Sharing Session* titled “Digital Transformation: Share, Brainstorm, Innovate.” The event was organized by the Bureau of Digital Transformation (BTD) of UGM on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Radiopoetro Building, FKKMK UGM. This event aimed to explore insights and best practices in digital transformation from foreign universities to be adapted at UGM.
Dr. Andri, an alumnus of Kyushu University in Japan, shared his experiences and practices regarding the implementation of digital technology at Kyushu University. He presented various digital services available, including crisis management systems, website portals, and other digital transformation initiatives. Dr. Andri also compared the application of digital technology at Kyushu University with the conditions at UGM, highlighting UGM’s robust digital services such as SSO, UGM Hotspot, and SIMPAN UGM, while providing suggestions for further development, particularly concerning alumni digital services.

The event was attended by members of the Bureau of Digital Transformation and the UGM Digital Task Force, UGM Core, and UGM AI. In addition to Dr. Andri, other speakers included Dr. techn. Guntur Budi Herwanto from FMIPA, who shared experiences from Vienna University in Austria, and Dr. Melysa Fitriana, Ph.D., and Dr. Vincent from FKKMK, who presented practices at Taipei Medical University. The discussion session, moderated by Dr. Dian, generated a variety of ideas and recommendations for UGM’s digital transformation policies.
Dr. Andri’s participation in this event demonstrates the active contribution of SARC and the TPB Department of FTP UGM in supporting digital transformation at UGM. The insights and experiences shared are expected to accelerate and optimize the digital transformation process at UGM, enhancing the quality of services and the university’s competitiveness.
