On December 5, 2024, the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DTPB) held a departmental meeting at Artotel Bianti Suite, Yogyakarta. The main agenda of this meeting was to evaluate the 2021 Curriculum while initiating the updating process for the 2026 Curriculum. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the restructuring of the Scientific Field Groups (KBK) within the department.
The meeting began with the reorganization of the existing KBK in DTPB. Several new KBK groups were added to accommodate the advancement of scientific knowledge.
In the afternoon session, Prof. Sahid Susanto delivered a presentation on the development direction of DTPB. Following this, Ir. Endang Sulastri, S.Pt., M.A., Ph.D., Head of the Education and Teaching Development Sub-Directorate at UGM, provided an overview of UGM’s curriculum policy direction in accordance with Permendikbudristek No. 53 of 2023, which emphasizes quality assurance in higher education.
The meeting concluded with a presentation by Prof. Lilik Sutiarso, Chair of the Indonesian Agricultural Engineering Study Program Forum, who discussed DTPB’s positioning within the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP) to strengthen its contribution to the development of agricultural engineering education in Indonesia.
