Yogyakarta, February 4, 2026 — The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DTPB), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through the Biosystems Machinery and Engineering Expertise Group (KBK TMB), successfully conducted the official withdrawal of students participating in the Internship Program (Kerja Praktik/KP) at the Agricultural Mechanization Research and Development Center (BRMP Mektan) on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM WIB. The event was held online via the Zoom Meeting platform.
This activity was part of the academic program of the Agricultural Engineering Study Program, aimed at providing students with real-world work experience and identifying practical field issues that can later be developed into research topics or undergraduate theses.
A total of seven students from KBK TMB, class of 2023, successfully completed their internships at BRMP Mektan, namely:

The withdrawal ceremony was attended by supervising lecturers from DTPB UGM, including Dr. Andri Prima Nugroho as Coordinator of KBK TMB, Prof. Bambang Purwantana, Dr. Radi, Dr. Sri Markumningsih, Dr. Makbul Hajad, Dr. Rudiati Evi Masithoh, and Ardan Wiratmoko, S.TP., M.Sc. From BRMP Mektan, the event was attended by field supervisors Daragantina Nursani, S.TP., M.T., Muhammad Adani Akbar, S.TP., and Firman Satya Sanyoto, S.TP.

In his remarks, Dr. Andri Prima Nugroho explained that the Internship Program in the Agricultural Engineering Study Program at UGM aims to expose students to real working environments in government institutions and industry. He emphasized the importance of this activity in identifying field-based problems that can serve as a foundation for future research or thesis topics.
Representing BRMP Mektan, Daragantina Nursani, S.TP., M.T., expressed a positive response to the internship program. She highlighted the students’ discipline and active engagement in intensive discussions with field supervisors. During the internship, students were involved in testing agricultural machinery, including pumps, sprayers, and two-wheel tractors.

The event sequence began with an official opening and expressions of appreciation to BRMP Mektan, followed by remarks from BRMP Mektan representatives. Dr. Andri Prima Nugroho then delivered an academic overview of the objectives and general outcomes of the Internship Program. The main agenda consisted of student presentations of their internship results, each allocated a maximum of 12 minutes, followed by brief feedback from field supervisors. The event concluded with the formal withdrawal statement and a group photo session.
This activity is expected to further strengthen collaboration between DTPB UGM and BRMP Mektan in producing competent graduates who are well-prepared to face professional challenges.
