Yogyakarta, September 29, 2026 — Continuous quality assurance is an essential part of academic management at the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DTPB), Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FTP UGM). This commitment was demonstrated through the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) and ISO 9001:2015 Audit, conducted in collaboration with UGM’s University Quality Assurance and Reform Unit (SPMRU) on Tuesday (September 29).

The audit covered three study programs within DTPB: the Bachelor’s Program in Agricultural Engineering, Master’s Program in Agricultural Engineering, and Doctoral Program in Agricultural Engineering. The activity forms part of the periodic evaluation of educational implementation and academic governance to ensure that the programs operate in accordance with established standards.
Evaluating Educational Implementation
The assessment process involved reviewing academic documents, evaluating the implementation of teaching and learning activities, and examining the governance of each study program. The evaluation also involved faculty members and students through interview sessions.

During the sessions, students shared their experiences throughout the learning process and provided feedback on academic services. These perspectives served as important input for assessing educational implementation from the users’ perspective and identifying areas for further development.
By directly involving members of the academic community, the audit process not only examines compliance with administrative standards but also provides study programs with an opportunity to receive feedback on the quality of their educational services.

Internal and ISO Auditors
SPMRU UGM assigned auditors to ensure that the assessment process was conducted objectively and systematically.
For the Bachelor’s Program in Agricultural Engineering, the audit involved Dr. Hani Perwitasari, Sp.P., M.Sc. as the AMI auditor and Ir. Pujo Saroyo, M.Eng., Sc. as both AMI and ISO auditor.
The Master’s Program in Agricultural Engineering involved Zuliati Rohmah, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. as the AMI auditor and Dr. rer. nat. techn. F.M.C. Sigit Setyabudi, S.T.P., M.P. as the auditor.
Meanwhile, the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Engineering involved Prof. Dr. Ir. Tri Satya Mastuti Widi, S.Pt., M.P., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN. Eng. as the AMI auditor and Prof. Dr. Ir. Retno Indrati, M.Sc. as both AMI and ISO auditor.
Supporting Continuous Improvement
The audit findings and feedback from members of the academic community will serve as inputs for each study program to formulate follow-up actions and improve areas that require further development.
Through the regular implementation of the Internal Quality Audit and ISO 9001:2015 Audit, DTPB FTP UGM continues to foster a culture of evaluation and continuous improvement as an integral part of educational management. These efforts are aimed at strengthening the quality of teaching and learning, academic services, and study program governance in a sustainable manner.
