Dr. Sri Rahayoe Earns APEC Engineer Certification, Strengthening DTPB FTP UGM’s Commitment to Academic Excellence and Global Reputation

Tangerang, July 5, 2025 — The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTPB FTP UGM), continues to prioritize enhancing the capacity of its academic staff and strengthening its international reputation. This commitment was once again demonstrated through the remarkable achievement of Dr. Sri Rahayoe, S.T.P., M.P., IPM., ASEAN Eng., who successfully obtained the prestigious Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Engineer (APEC Eng.) certification.

The APEC Engineer Certificate and Medal were formally presented to Dr. Sri Rahayoe by the Chairman of the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII), Dr. Ing. Ilham Akbar Habibie, MBA.

This international recognition was awarded by the APEC Forum through the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII) as a testament to Dr. Sri Rahayoe’s competence, professionalism, and contributions in the field of agricultural engineering. The certificate and APEC Eng. medal were officially presented during the PII National Leadership Meeting (RAPIMNAS) at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition BSD (ICE BSD), Tangerang, by the Chairman of PII, Dr. Ing. Ilham Akbar Habibie, MBA.

The APEC Engineer is an internationally recognized certification across APEC member economies, symbolizing the mobility of professional engineers who meet global competency standards. This achievement is not only a personal milestone but also further reinforces the contribution and international standing of DTPB FTP UGM in the global academic and professional arena.

This success is aligned with DTPB FTP UGM’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through academic capacity building, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting engineering professionalism, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening global networks among engineers and academic institutions.
