TPB IPB University Visit to DTPB UGM Strengthens Academic Collaboration

The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTPB FTP UGM) welcomed a comparative study visit from the Agricultural and Bio-system Engineering, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, IPB University, on Friday, November 28, 2025, in the OR Room of FTP UGM, Yogyakarta. The visit aimed to strengthen institutional cooperation, broaden academic insights, and develop research collaborations in the field of agricultural and biosystems engineering. The delegation from the Department of Agricultural and Bio-system Engineering, Fateta IPB University, was led by Dr. Ir. Edy Hartulistiyoso, M.Sc.Agr., and consisted of 47 participants, including lecturers and education staff. The meeting started at 15.30 WIB and continued until finished, creating a warm and productive atmosphere through academic discussions.

The TPB IPB University delegation was welcomed by Prof. Lilik Sutiarso, Head of DTPB UGM, along with the department’s academic staff. Discussions covered academic program development, potential collaborative research, and opportunities for strengthening cooperation in biosystems and agricultural engineering. This comparative visit served as a platform for knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and institutional networking within the agricultural technology sector.

Strengthening Collaboration and Academic Synergy

The meeting opened discussions on several potential initiatives, including joint research programs, lecturer and student exchanges, laboratory development, and integrated academic cooperation that supports modern smart agriculture. This partnership is expected to enhance human resource quality and foster innovation in agricultural education in Indonesia.
