Ministry of Industry and DTPB FTP UGM Strengthen Agricultural Machinery Industry through Product Design and Development Technical Training

Purwakarta, June 12, 2026 – To enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia’s agricultural machinery industry, the Ministry of Industry, in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DTPB), Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FTP UGM), organized a Technical Training on Product Design and Development for the Agricultural Machinery Sector from June 10–12, 2026, in Purwakarta, West Java.

The three-day training was attended by 26 representatives from agricultural machinery manufacturing companies across Indonesia. The program aimed to strengthen participants’ competencies in product development, engineering design, standardization, quality control, and engineering measurement to support the production of high-quality and competitive agricultural machinery.

The training was delivered by experts from DTPB FTP UGM, namely Dr. Radi, S.TP., M.Eng., Dr. Makbul Hajad, S.TP., M.Eng., and Sri Markumningsih, S.TP., M.Sc., Ph.D.

The first day began with participant registration, program orientation, a pre-test, and group formation, followed by lectures on the overview of the agricultural machinery industry, current technological trends, engineering design principles, and product standardization.
