Dr. Andri Prima Nugroho: Learning from Singapore’s SNAIC – Inspiring the Development of an AI Ecosystem for Smart Agriculture at UGM

SINGAPORE – The opportunity to participate in a benchmarking visit to the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) on June 11, 2026, was an invaluable experience for me as a researcher at the Smart Agriculture Research Center (SARC), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). This visit was part of UGM’s strategic initiative to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem capable of addressing real-world industrial and societal challenges. Yogyakarta, June 11, 2026 – Demonstrating how engineering education can generate tangible solutions for society, the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DTPB), Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FTP UGM), organized the Biosystems Engineering Design Expo 2026 at the FTP UGM Hallway.
