Yogyakarta, December 9, 2025 – The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada, through the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DTPB FTP UGM), hosted the Final Presentation of the Masterplan for Integrated Agricultural Development in Paser Regency on Tuesday (9/12). The session marked the concluding phase of the formulation of a strategic masterplan for agricultural sector development in the region.

The presentation was attended by UGM expert team members including Prof. Dr. Ir. Lilik Sutiarso (FTP), Dr. Muhamad Khoiru Zaki, Dr. Hanggar Ganara Mawandha, Dr. Viagian Pastawan, and Dr. Faizal Rahman, along with the assistant research team. From Paser Regency, participants included the Regent’s Expert Staff, the Head of Bappedalitbang, several Department Heads, and representatives of relevant local government offices.
During the meeting, the DTPB FTP UGM research team delivered the final masterplan document, which features a detailed action plan matrix for implementation. The formulation process involved comprehensive assessments, including climate and hydrology studies, rainfall analysis, water resources evaluation, soil characteristics, social potential, livestock and fisheries potential, land suitability zoning, and the design of integrated agricultural areas.
This masterplan serves as a strategic foundation for Paser Regency in realizing productive, inclusive, and sustainable agricultural development, reinforcing agriculture as a key sector for food supply, workforce absorption, ecological balance, and regional resilience.
