[6 Februari 2023] Departemen Teknik Pertanian dan Biosistem FTP UGM menerima kunjungan tiga orang professor dari Graduate School of International Agricultural Technology (GSIAT), Seoul National University (SNU) yaitu Prof. Ju-Kon Kim (dean), Prof. Kyo Suh (Vice Dean) dan Prof. Ki-hee Ryu. Kunjungan ini dilakukan dalam rangka penandatanganan Nota Kesepahaman (MoU) oleh Dekan Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian UGM Prof. Dr. Eny Harmayani dengan Dean of GSIAT SNU, Prof. Ju-Kon Kim.

Dalam pertemuan tersebut disampaikan sambutan oleh Dekan GSIAT SNU dan Dekan FTP UGM. Keduanya menyambut baik kerjasama yang akan dibangun dan berharap kelanjutan Setelah penandataganan MoU dilanjutkan dengan diskusi tentang food biotechnology, water management, dan biosystem engineering.

MoU ini akan melandasi kerjasama dalam penelitian dan pengembangan pengetahuan antara kedua institusi. Pelaksanaan kerjasama akan dimulai pada tahun 2023 dengan penerapan modernisasi irigasi di Daerah Irigasi Cibaliung, Banten yang akan dilaksanakan oleh tim Departemen Teknik Pertanian dan Biosistem (DTPB).

On February 6, 2023, the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), received a visit from three professors from the Graduate School of International Agricultural Technology (GSIAT) at Seoul National University (SNU). The visiting professors included Prof. Ju-Kon Kim (Dean), Prof. Kyo Suh (Vice Dean), and Prof. Ki-hee Ryu. This visit was part of the preparations for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at UGM, represented by Dean Prof. Dr. Eny Harmayani, and the Graduate School of International Agricultural Technology at SNU, represented by Dean Prof. Ju-Kon Kim.

In the meeting, speeches were delivered by the Dean of GSIAT SNU and the Dean of FTP UGM. Both of them welcomed the collaboration that would be established and expressed their hopes for the continuation. After the signing of the MoU, discussions were held on food biotechnology, water management, and biosystem engineering.

This MoU will serve as the foundation for research and knowledge development collaboration between the two institutions. The collaboration is set to commence in 2023 with the implementation of irrigation modernization in the Cibaliung Irrigation Area, Banten, to be carried out by the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DTPB) team.
