Pada hari Sabtu, 25 Februari 2023, Departemen Teknik Pertanian dan Biosistem Universitas Gadjah Mada melaksanakan seremonial Kick-off Pelepasan 9 Mahasiswa MBKM Magang di PG. Madukismo Yogyakarta. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di rumah dinas no. 22 PG. Madukismo Yogyakarta. Kegiatan ini dihadiri langsung wakil dekan bidang akademik dan kemahasiswaan Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian Universitas Gadjah Mada Prof. Yudi Pranoto, Ketua Departemen Teknik Pertanian dan Biosistem Prof. Lilik Sutiarso, Sekertaris Senat Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. Bambang Purwantana beserta staff pengajar dan Tenaga Pendidikan dari Laboratorium Energi dan Mesin Pertanian. Rombongan dari Departemen Teknik Pertanian dan Biosistem disambut langsung oleh Komisaris PT. Madubaru Bapak Ir. H. Rahmat Edi Cahyono, M.Si beserta beberapa staff operasional pabrik.

Dalam sambutannya, Bapak Ir. H. Rahmat Edi Cahyono, M.Si menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan MBKM magang mahasiswa ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi untuk pemenuhan kompetensi teknis dan keterampilan lapangan mahasiswa sehingga kedepannya dapat lebih siap dalam untuk mengisi kebutuhan tenaga di Industri. Pihak PT. Madubaru menyambut baik kegiatan ini sebagai upaya untuk menghadirkan ide-ide segar dari perguruan tinggi untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ril di industri gula nasional. Dalam kegiatan MBKM Magang ini, mahasiswa nantinya akan mendapatkan pembekalan yang menyeluruh tidak hanya terkait proses produksi tebu menjadi gula, namun juga meliputi aspek managerial lapangan, aspek kepemimpinan, kedisiplinan dan nilai-nilai perusahaan. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga akan dilatih dengan pembelajaran model case-based learning dimana masalah akan diselesaikan secara kolaboratif antara mahasiswa dan staff lapangan PG. Maduskismo dengan pendekatan Group-Based Learning. Sehingga mahasiswa diharapkan mendapat pengalaman lapangan bekerja secara tim untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan rill sektor agroindustry. Kegiatan MBKM Magang ini akan dilaksanakan selama 1 semester dimana mahasiswa akan diberikan kesempatan untuk belajar langsung di setiap bagian di pabrik.

On Saturday, February 25th, 2023, the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at Gadjah Mada University held a ceremonial Kick-off for the release of 9 MBKM Internship students at PG. Madu Baru Yogyakarta. The event took place at the official residence no. 22 of PG. Madu Baru Yogyakarta. It was attended by Prof. Yudi Pranoto, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Gadjah Mada University, Prof. Lilik Sutiarso, the Head of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Prof. Bambang Purwantana, the Secretary of the Senate of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Gadjah Mada University, as well as teaching staff and Educational Personnel from the Laboratory of Agricultural Energy and Machinery. The delegation from the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering was warmly welcomed by PG. Maduksimo PT. Madubaru Commissioner Mr. Ir. H. Rahmat Edi Cahyono, M.Si., along with several operational factory staff.

In his address, Mr. Ir. H. Rahmat Edi Cahyono, M.Si, expressed that the MBKM internship program for students is expected to be a solution to fulfill technical competencies and field skills for students so that they can be better prepared to meet the labor needs in the industry in the future. PG. Madukismo PT. Madubaru welcomes this initiative as an effort to bring fresh ideas from universities to solve real issues in the national sugar industry. During the MBKM Internship program, students will receive comprehensive training not only related to the process of turning sugarcane into sugar but also covering managerial aspects in the field, leadership, discipline, and company values. Additionally, students will be trained through a case-based learning model where problems will be collaboratively solved by students and PG. Maduskismo field staff using a Group-Based Learning approach. Therefore, students are expected to gain field experience by working as a team to address real issues in the agroindustry sector. The MBKM Internship program will run for one semester, during which students will have the opportunity to learn directly in each department of the factory.
